COVID-19 Protocol

We are fully operational and able to see clients face-to-face, though we do offer contact-free options too. We are happy to accommodate your needs. These are the measures we have taken to assist you with social distancing in place:

Remote appointments and remote identification of clients

We conduct remote appointments via Google Meet and via telephone.

Identifying our clients is a vital step for all law practices. We can identify you using apps or by your attendance at a participating Australia Post outlet.

Where you feel comfortable using  a smartphone or device,  you will be invited to verify your identity using WebVOI*. Web VOI is simple and easy to use and will tell you exactly what to do to meet verification of identity requirements. You can use the app from your phone, device or computer.
*WebVOI instructs clients to use their phone, device or computer camera to take a picture of their face, photos of their identifying documents and sign their signature on the screen of their smartphone, device or using a mouse on their computer using a finger, stylus or mouse. It records your GPS coordinates and employs facial recognition technology to compare your portrait photo with photographs on your driver licence, passport and other documents. An encrypted identity report is then securely sent to this firm and we access it through a password protected portal.

Delivery of correspondence, documents and other transaction instruments
Documents will be delivered to clients for signing in the following ways: Personal physically-distanced delivery (where practical and allowed), postal delivery and email.

Signing of documents and transaction instruments that require witnessing by a solicitor and/or non-family member
We are able to witness the signing of physical documents such as wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney via video conferencing.

Filing of court documents
Documents will be filed online using available portals for the particular court, where available, or by mail or email where portals are not available.

Court appearances
We follow the guidelines laid down by the particular court and use telephone conferencing facilities wherever possible.
